Wyandotte Nation Night: A Huge Success Wyandotte, Oklahoma -- April 17, 2007 -- Wyandotte Nation Casino opened its doors Monday April 16, 2007 to the Wyandotte Nation Tribe, their guests, local officials and key contributors to the project. The special invite event was a great success with over 300 attendees. The event allowed the tribal members to be a part of the project, be the very first casino guest to play with their Club Wyandotte card and enjoy everything the property has to offer. The four hour Wyandotte Nation Night began with a Wyandotte Nation traditional smoking ceremony performed by the chief, Chief Bearskin. Speeches were given to welcome the people by Chief Bearskin, Second Chief Billy Friend and CEO Dennis Pontiere. After the red ribbon cutting ceremony all attendees were invited into the casino and experienced the fun. All guests who signed up to be a part of Club Wyandotte received $5 in casino cash and were eligible for the play $10 get $10 new member promotion. Tours were given, beverages and hors d'oeuvres were served and the party continued until 10p.m. "This event was a huge success. For our first event, we were extremely pleased with the turn out and the performance of our employees. We are ready to open our doors to the public tomorrow and excited to welcome all our guests with the greatest guest service," Said Jim Hunt, VP of Gaming Operations. |
